Animal-Assisted Therapy

Animal-Assisted Therapy is a therapeutic intervention that incorporates animals into the treatment plan to enhance a client's social, emotional, or cognitive functioning. We use specially trained horses in our animal-assisted therapy, under the guidance of a qualified professional, that become part of the therapeutic process.

Animal-Assisted Therapy can be beneficial for a variety of individuals and conditions, including — but not limited to — those with substance use disorders, individuals in the criminal justice system, and adolescents in treatment settings.

At Stable Connections, we use our therapy horses as a medical and therapeutic tool in our treatment programs to help our clients with mental health, physical rehabilitation, balance, and coordination.
